Summary

  • query the remote Nix store for missing system-closure paths before exporting
  • export and import only missing paths, skipping archive transfer when the target already has the closure
  • keep activation through the locally built system path

Verification

  • fish -n modules/shell/fish/functions/deploy-to.fish
  • mocked deploy smoke test exported only the path reported missing by the target
  • mocked no-copy smoke test skipped scp/import when the target reported no missing paths
